Cate grew up in country NSW and now calls Hedland home! Starting as a rural high school teacher, she spent over 20 years in local, state and then federal public education leadership roles before moving to the NFP community sector about 8 years ago.
After moving to South Australia in 2018 to take up a RNTBC CEO role she concurrently completed a Diploma in Governance during her tenure which she ended in 2022.
Her role at KNAC since then has highlighted this experience, her change management, strategic planning and capacity building skills. Cate is committed to ensuring that KNAC continues to provide more and more benefit to Nyiyaparli people now and into the future by championing partnership, community and governance approaches that all our members can be proud of.

JESSICA LICKLIDER

Jess grew up in the United States and moved to Australia in 2022, settling in South Hedland before starting work with KNAC a few months later.
She has a Masters of Science in Library and Information Science and previously worked as an academic librarian. Her background in information management and her passion for information architecture and knowledge management play a key role in he current position as the Information and Technology Coordinator.
Her role is to coordinate technology services, providing onsite technology support to end-users as well as overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of KNAC’s information infrastructure, systems, and services.

Originally from Scotland, Fiona moved to Sydney in 2006 for over a decade before heading to outback South Australia and is now living in and working in Hedland.
Her role at KNAC is as Media and Communications Coordinator is to develop and implement strategies to ensure that the members have access to timely, quality and accessible information as well as to continue to ensure that the KNAC logo is front and centre of all we do.
Her background for over 20 years has been in the Human Rights field, she is passionate about the importance of authentic communication and in recent years has worked with many Aboriginal groups to develop and implement communication strategies tailored to match theirs communities.

Jasmine is a young Nyiyaparli woman who grew up in both Marble Bar and Hedland and is now based in South Hedland, working from the KNAC Hedland office.
As the Nyiyaparli Media Assistant she is learning about all aspects of the Media and Communications roles from learning how to take photos and videos, creating images and graphics, through to understanding websites and social media.
She is passionate about her culture and is keen to continue growing and learning from the senior Nyiyaparli men and women around her.

Kepu grew up in the beautiful islands of the Torres Strait as well as Cairns and Adelaide. Her mother is from Masig (Yorke) Island – a tear drop shaped island, and her father is from Mer (Murrary) Island -part of the Great Barrier Reef. Home is now here in Hedland!
Prior to joining us at KNAC she worked in Customer Service, including at Hedland Centrelink.
Kepu loves building good relationships with people, a skill she puts to good use as the KNAC Member Registrar.
