DIANA TIEPPO

Heritage Services Manager

Originally from Far North Queensland Diana has been in Hedland now for a few years and is the Manager of the KNAC Heritage Services Team and their operations. He manages KNAC Heritage Services roles and responsibilities under active proponent agreements and government legislation.

They have a Masters in Archaeological Science (Advanced) from the ANU, a Postgraduate Certificate in Archaeology and History from the University of Leicester, and a BA in Archaeology and History/Ancient History from UQ. 

In addition to their qualifications they also have experience in lab analysis on excavated materials from Aboriginal Australian sites, zooarchaeological and bioarcheological material and has also completed archaeological excavations in Aboriginal and South East Asian contexts.

Jess is originally from Sydney but moved to WA for work and fell in love with the Pilbara and is excited to learn more about the history of the Nyiyaparli community and get to know the Nyiyaparli members!

As the Heritage Advisor with KNAC she’ll be helping the heritage team to protect Nyiyaparli heritage by performing research, due diligence assessments, and aiding the implementation of heritage surveys and consultations. 

She is an archaeologist and anthropologist and has been involved in heritage surveys throughout WA. She previously worked in a museum cataloguing artefacts, at a university as a research assistant, and has been part of archaeological excavations investigating Aboriginal and colonial material in Sydney, and Iron Age IIB material in Israel.

MOLLY QUINN

Molly was born and raised in the USA, studying Archaeology/Anthropology at U.C. Berkeley followed by a master’s degree in the UK before moving to Australia to work in the heritage field.  Since being in Australia, she has continued her studies and has just finished a Ph.D. at Macquarie University, studying optically stimulated luminescence at early hominin (Homo erectus and Homo sapiens) archaeological sites across Southeast Asia. 

She is employed as a Heritage Advisor at KNAC and is particularly keen to be involved in mapping and spatial components of the planning and review processes. She is looking forward to this role with KNAC having gained lots of Pilbara experience working with the Banjima Traditional Owners. 

Outside of work Molly is a keen volunteer protecting native Australian wildlife as well as helping out at her local Dog Shelter. 

ANGELIQUE COOK

Heritage Services Implementation Coordinator

Angelique grew up in Cape Town, South Africa and now is based in Hedland where she works as the KNAC Heritage Services Implementation Office (HSIC).

She coordinates daily heritage services operations with the support of Heritage Administration staff and working in collaboration with the KNAC Cultural Advisor and other key Heritage Services staff. Additionally, she is working towards drafting implementation plans and processes to support KNAC Heritage Services functionality and responsibilities.

She has a Bachelor’s degree in Internal Auditing and worked as a risk-based Internal Auditor for 8 years in South Africa. In recent years since moving to Australia she has added to her skill base by taking on numerous administration roles including Senior Governance Advisor and Senior Risk and Audit Advisor at the Town of Port Hedland.

FAITHE DRUMMOND

Heritage Services Logistics Officer

Originally from Karratha, Faithe is now based in Hedland and started in April 2024 and is employed at KNAC as the Heritage Services Logistics Officer.

Her role includes coordinating schedules for KNAC representatives working on mine sites and organising medicals and the onboarding process for them in addition to arranging all the travel and accommodation needs for those out on surveys.

LEONARD MICHAEL STREAM

Cultural Advisor

Streamy is a senior Nyiyaparli man and has worked with KNAC for more than 10 years in various roles across the Corporation.

As Cultural Advisor, Streamy plays a key role in supporting the Heritage Services team in the nomination of KNAC Representatives for heritage field engagements and providing cultural advice to ensure engagements are undertaken culturally safe. He also engages with other teams across the Corporation to provide supporting cultural advice.
