About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Media and Communications Coordinator to join our team in South Hedland.
This is a dynamic and creative role supporting the delivery of KNAC’s Media and Communications Strategy. You will play a key role in developing engaging, culturally appropriate content that promotes KNAC programs, strengthens connections with members, and enhances the organisation’s visibility and reputation.
Working closely with the Media and Communications Manager, you will contribute to the redevelopment and ongoing management of KNAC’s website, support communication initiatives, and produce high-quality publications and digital content.
This role suits someone creative, organised, and proactive, with a genuine interest in contributing to positive outcomes for the Nyiyaparli community.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of KNAC’s website
Design and develop communication materials and publications for members and stakeholders
Create engaging content across digital and print platforms
Monitor and report on communication performance, including website and engagement metrics
Collaborate with internal teams to gather content and promote programs and events
Maintain consistent branding and messaging across all communication channels
Provide creative and administrative support to the Media and Communications Manager
Essential Requirements
Experience in communications, media, design, marketing, or a related field
Demonstrated experience in website management (WordPress/Elementor desirable)*
Experience creating professional publications and digital content (Adobe Suite)*
Strong written and visual communication skills
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Strong cultural awareness and ability to work respectfully with Aboriginal communities
A proactive and solutions-focused approach
National Police Check
Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Current Driver’s Licence
*A portfolio of relevant work is required.
