Our Vision

The self determination of Nyiyaparli people

Our Purpose

We exist for the benefit of Nyiyaparli marlpa (people) – now and into the future – to take care of our marlpa, our yurlu (yoo·loo)  and the people on our yurlu (country).

Our Values

Preservation
Respect
Integrity

Our Goal

To be the leading RNTBC in the country for the benefit of our people and our sector.

We will measure this value through member benefit, cultural and corporate governance, financial stability, partnerships, sustainability, engagement, independent benchmarking and leadership.

In July 2022, KNAC launched the Nyiyaparli Living Language Project (NLLP) with the aim of preserving our critically endangered Nyiyaparli language, forever. Like many Australian Indigenous languages, Nyiyaparli faces critical endangerment, with fewer than 10 fluent senior language speakers.

Our project was developed by Elders and is managed by a cultural working group who oversee the development and distribution of language products that promote, engage and celebrate Nyiyaparli language and the knowledge it holds for future generations.

To learn more and stay up to date with this project visit the NLLP website at

Have you seen our Jirntalpa Karnti (Nyiyaparli Flora) book?

Developed by Nyiyaparli people and Roy Hill this publication included an Augmented Reality experience that brings to life Nyiyaparli people’s extensive knowledge of the land.
