Karlka Nyiyaparli Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (KNAC) is the Native Title representative group for the Nyiyaparli People, with approximately 400 current members. The Nyiyaparli People are the Traditional Owners of approximately 36,684 square kilometres of land and waters in the east Pilbara region. This area includes the Aboriginal communities of Jigalong and Parnpajinya, several pastoral leases, and significant mining operations. Locations within the Determination Area are places of particular significance to the Nyiyaparli people, including ceremonial sites, songlines, permanent pools, and natural resources.
KNAC is hiring two (2) Data & Records officers; the first position will be part of the Heritage team, and the second will be part of the Information & Technology team.
This role is located at KNAC’s South Hedland office or as a remote working role based in Perth.
Reporting to the Heritage Services Manager, the Data & Records Officer is responsible for maintaining quality records and information management services to KNAC’s Heritage and Land Management and Native Title teams. This role involves tracking manual and computerised records, retrieving archives, and ensuring the disposal of records in compliance with statutory, organisational, and operational requirements.
The Data & Records Officer will also carry out quality control checks on the data management system, ensuring version control, naming conventions, and best practices are upheld across the corporation.

Reporting to the Information & Technology Coordinator, the Data & Records Officer will contribute to developing and supporting KNAC’s information systems by managing accurate, up-to-date, and usable data and records. The role involves facilitating the migration of records from legacy systems, ensuring data integrity, generating reports, providing internal support, and assisting in the development of information management processes.
