About Us
Karlka Nyiyaparli Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (KNAC) is the Native Title representative group for the Nyiyaparli People, with approximately 400 current members. The Nyiyaparli People are the Traditional Owners of approximately 36,684 square kilometres of land and waters in the east Pilbara region. This area includes the Aboriginal communities of Jigalong and Parnpajinya, several pastoral leases, and significant mining operations. Locations within the Determination Area are places of particular significance to the Nyiyaparli People, including ceremonial sites, songlines, permanent pools, and natural resources.

Position Purpose
Reporting to the Finance and Corporate Services Coordinator, the Financial Administration Officer provides accurate and timely financial administration across KNAC’s operations. The role includes processing accounts, travel and card reconciliations, and providing compliance and system support. You’ll also act as a key internal point of contact for financial queries and contribute to monthly reporting and system improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable including purchase orders, invoices, and reimbursements
- Administer staff travel including allowances, bookings, and cost coding
- Manage the staff debit card platform (Weel), including monthly reconciliations
- Reconcile credit cards and supplier accounts
- Maintain and update financial registers for suppliers, assets, and insurance
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Ensure adherence to KNAC financial delegation and approval policies
- Provide procedural training and finance support to KNAC staff
- Assist with system improvements and finance centralisation projects
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:

- Certificate IV or higher in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or related field
- Demonstrated experience in accounts and finance administration
- Working knowledge of financial systems (e.g., Xero, MYOB)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools
Desirable:

- Experience working in Indigenous organisations
- Understanding of asset, fleet, or insurance administration
