About Us 

Karlka Nyiyaparli Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (KNAC) is the registered native title body corporate for the Nyiyaparli People with approximately 400 current members. 

The Nyiyaparli People are the Traditional Owners of approximately 36,684 square kilometres of land and waters in the east Pilbara region, including the Aboriginal communities of Jigalong and Parnapajinya, several pastoral leases and significant mining operations. Locations within the Determination Area are places of particular significance to the Nyiyaparli People including ceremonial sites, songlines, permanent pools and natural resources. 

 

Location

This role is based at KNAC’s South Hedland Office. 


Position Purpose 

The Heritage Services Logistics Officer is responsible for providing essential administrative and logistical support for KNAC’s Heritage Services team. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth coordination of heritage surveys and cultural monitoring activities, including booking travel and medicals for KNAC representatives. 

Working closely with the Heritage Services Implementation Coordinator, you will assist with scheduling, resourcing, and organising logistics for field engagements, ensuring KNAC representatives are supported in their roles. 


Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include: 
  • Coordinate logistical arrangements for heritage field engagements (heritage surveys and cultural monitoring). 
  • Organise travel bookings, medical assessments, and PPE for KNAC representatives. 
  • Support Welcome to Country ceremonies, ensuring KNAC representatives’ attendance. 
  • Provide administrative support, including managing queries and assisting with onboarding documents. 
  • Maintain effective communication with consultants, proponents, and KNAC representatives regarding heritage engagements. 
  • Process receipts and acquittals for heritage field activities. 
  • Ensure compliance with Work Health & Safety (WH&S) policies. 
 

Qualifications & Experience

Essential experience and qualifications include:

  • Experience in logistics coordination, scheduling, and administration. 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to problem-solve and address logistical challenges. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative systems. 
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety standards. 
  • Current Driver’s Licence. 
  • National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
