About Us 

Karlka Nyiyaparli Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (KNAC) is the Native Title representative group for the Nyiyaparli People, with approximately 400 current members. The Nyiyaparli People are the Traditional Owners of approximately 36,684 square kilometres of land and waters in the east Pilbara region. This area includes the Aboriginal communities of Jigalong and Parnpajinya, several pastoral leases, and significant mining operations. Locations within the Determination Area are places of particular significance to the Nyiyaparli people, including ceremonial sites, songlines, permanent pools, and natural resources.

Location

This role is located in KNAC’s South Hedland office. However, a WA-based remote location will be available for the right applicant. 

Position Purpose 

The Information & Records Officer is responsible for supporting the effective management of KNAC’s corporate records. This role focuses on migrating records from legacy systems to SharePoint Online and enhancing information management processes. The successful candidate will ensure data accuracy, manage record metadata, develop user guides and support internal training. 

Key Responsibilities 

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Migrate records to SharePoint while ensuring data integrity. 
  • Create and manage metadata for efficient record classification and retrieval. 
  • Configure SharePoint functionalities and support end-user training. 
  • Digitise physical records and maintain high standards of data entry. 
  • Collaborate with departments to customise solutions and ensure policy compliance. 
 

Qualifications & Experience

Essential experience and qualifications include:

  • Proven expereince in SharePoint Online administration or similar systems. 
  • Knowledge of records and information management principles.
  • Advanced Microsfot 365 skills and project management experience. 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to develop user documentation. 
  • National Police Check.
