Karlka Nyiyaparli Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (KNAC) is the registered native title body corporate for the Nyiyaparli People with approximately 400 members. The Nyiyaparli People are the Traditional Owners of 36,684 square kilometres of land and waters in the East Pilbara region, including Newman, Jigalong, Parnpajinya, several pastoral leases, and significant mining operations. Locations within the Determination Area are places of particular significance to the Nyiyaparli People, including ceremonial sites, songlines, permanent pools and natural resources.
The Member Programs Support Officer will play a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination of various KNAC programs, including the Home Ready Program, event logistics and administrative support. Based in our South Hedland office, this role requires a high level of administrative expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting senior leadership.
You will coordinate program delivery, provide logistical support for travel and events, and maintain key administrative processes. This includes assisting in community events, liaising with members, and supporting stakeholders to ensure programs operate efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Support KNAC programs, ensuring smooth scheduling, coordination and communication.
- Organise event logistics, including bookings, catering, transport, and materials.
- Assist in event management, including travel arrangements and registrations.
- Provide on-site event support, welcoming attendees and addressing issues.
- Conduct member surveys and collate feedback to improve programs.
- Deliver general administrative support, including document management.
- Assist members with required documentation.
- Maintain financial records and budget-related documentation.
- Manage office supplies, event materials, and related assets.
- Provide technical support for meetings and video conferencing.
- Contribute to program reporting and updates.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential experience and qualifications include:
- Proven experience in administrative and event coordination roles.
- Strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience managing travel and event logistics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Current Drivers Licence.
