As part of our Nyiyaparli Health & Wellbeing Project, KNAC is funding three positions to support Nyiyaparli improve kidney health, treatment and support especially in the Pilbara and Perth.
The first of these positions is a Nyiyaparli Dialysis Patient Support Worker based in Perth as part of the Purple House organisation (not KNAC).
This role will support Nyiyaparli renal patients throughout their healthcare journey by providing wraparound case management, including their healthcare journey, advocacy, and practical support. They will support patients to make informed decisions, and work with healthcare providers and community organisations as required.
The Nyiyaparli Dialysis Patient Support Worker aims to improve Nyiyaparli healthcare experiences and reduce the spiritual, cultural, and emotional stresses associated with being away from country and family.
