About Us 

Karlka Nyiyaparli Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (KNAC) is the registered native title body corporate for the Nyiyaparli People with approximately 400 current members.

The Nyiyaparli People are the Traditional Owners of approximately 36,684 square kilometres of land and waters in the east Pilbara region, including the Aboriginal communities of Jigalong and Parnpajinya, several pastoral leases and significant mining operations. Locations within the Determination Area are places of particular significance to the Nyiyaparli people, including ceremonial sites, songlines, permanent pools, and natural resources.

About the Role 

The Office Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our organisation by overseeing administrative systems, staff support, quality and compliance processes, overseeing meetings, and member communications.

Based in South Hedland, this fast-paced and dynamic role also provides confidential support and advocacy to KNAC members, stakeholders, and suppliers, helping to maintain a responsive, professional, and culturally respectful interface with the broader community.

The Office Manager also coordinates corporate support for our staff. A strong focus on continuous improvement, communication, organisation, accountability, and service excellence is key to succeeding in this role.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead and coordinate office operations and staff 
  • Ensure timely administrative processes and compliance 
  • Develop, implement and maintain organisational policies 
  • Provide high-level support to General Manager, Community & Corporate Services
  • Generate operational reports and attend staff and stakeholder meetings 
  • Supervise reception and member services 
  • Manage office supplies and equipment 
  • Maintain a safe office environment


Qualifications & Experience 

Essential experience and qualifications include: 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Proven decision-making and problem-solving abilities 
  • Ability to follow procedures and work independently or as part of a team 
  • Strong computer literacy 
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills 
  • Attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality 
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, flexible, and self-motivated 
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic 
  • Driver’s licence 
  • Ability to obtain a National Criminal Record Check
