Nyiyaparli Rangers are looking for more casual rangers to join the team!

What are Nyiyaparli Rangers and what do they do?

The Nyiyaparli Ranger Program employs casual project-based rangers who work together to undertake land management activities on Country.

  • Fire management (prescribed burning with DBCA)
  • Weed management
  • Kids on Country (Junior Rangers)
  • Cert II in Conservation & Ecosystem Management training
What are we looking for:
  • You work well in a team
  • You show respect for your fellow team members, staff and our partners
  • You enjoy camping out on country for up to 5 days at a time
  • You help with team camp duties such as unpacking and setting up camp and meal preparation.
  • You can commit to multiple trips a year during the field season from April to October (up to 20 trips per year)
  • You enjoy working outside (it can be hot, lots of dirt and dust, flies)
  • You can commit to attend training as required (approx 2-3 training weeks per year)
  • You can commit to attend planning workshops or team meetings as required
